First off, I have to give a shout out to my students and now friends from Quilter’s Escape. I had the best time ever. I always hope that I will be able to have a group of students who are open to new ideas and willing to try anything without er….., um….., whining. This class was spectacular and their willingness to try, with smiles, was reflected in the work they were creating. EVERY student was making perfectly pointed points and beautiful painterly applique. It was amazing to witness.
Thank you for the gift of sending me into my temporary(?) retirement knowing I had successfully shared my techniques and made a difference in your applique and created friendships in the process. It was really tough to see it all come to an end and I will always treasure the experience. Maybe we can do it again? I think I would come out of retirement to meet up in a class again at Dixie’s Quilter’s Escape. Dixie was an amazing hostess and her husband was a hoot and genuine gentleman. I know he was my knight in shining armour one evening. Thanks Bill! The meals were to die for and who can knock an amazing catered lunch everyday?
Of course I did not take my camera. Duh. Who forgets their camera??? Um, that would be me.
I wholeheartedly recommend this retreat. The meals are fabulous the attendance size is perfect and your every need is taken care of immediately. I usually don’t gush about teaching gigs, but fellow quilters, this is a great one!
I am trying to find my legs and get organized again here at home. Need I tell you the mess I walked in on after leaving my husband in charge? I need to fend off the health dept. at the moment so picture me with a scrub brush.
Thanks again Ladies for a truly memorable experience.

Sandra – Yours was the best applique class I have ever taken and Quilter’s Escape was a fantastic retreat! Thank you again for all you did for us students! If you ever come out of retirement, I would take your class again. The class was laid back, however, we learned a lot! If you ever get a chance to take a class with Sandra, run, do not walk, to sign up. She’s terrific!

Thank you for such a high compliment, you were great and I appreciate your help and the fun adventure to the Quilt Shop. The fabric worked GREAT by the way I got for that border. Color me happy.
Don’t worry Boop, I will give you a heads up if I hit the road again. I will try to give you info via the blog in the meantime.
