There is exciting news in the blogosphere my dear friends! The Icon of the modern age of machine quilting, the originator of the often used feather and pearl combination as well the popularization of the Sashiko (Dianeshiko) background fill, OK too many designs we see commonly used now to continue naming here, Now has a blog! Color me happy.
Seriously though, Diane is a giving and excellent machine quilting instructor and it will be great to be able to go to her blog with my morning cuppa and read her pearls of wisdom.
Want to machine quilt well? Don’t mess around and go straight to the top and learn from THE best. Be quick though, her classes fill immediately and you have to be ready. A great person and a great instructor. You can’t ask for anything better when taking a class to learn.
P.S. Frances? The book is on schedule and calm has returned to everyday life and I didn’t have to get on my knees and beg afterall.

Thanks !
!!
I just visited Diane’s blog. I am SO excited ! She truly is an Icon and I personally owe so much to her. She is a fantastic person and teacher .
Never have I met a person as dedicated to her pets as she is. I hope her dear cat ,Arnie, contirbutes to the blog. He has stories to tell!!!
The Arnster is an icon in his own right.
It is my pleasure!
Diane’s website was what brought me to YOURS! She IS great – and funny and friendly and funny and SO great at what she does. And did I mention – funny, too! I took her week-long class at Asilomar in March and she was SO great at helping you to see that you, too, can do this kind of machine quilting – just takes, what??!! PRACTICE!! Anyway – I highly recommend her classes to anyone who seriously wants to take their machine quilting skills to the next level.
Now – if only we could get Sandra back on the teaching circuit!!
LOL, stay tuned there may be some news on that teaching front.
You said it so well about Diane and her teaching. She works hard to see that her students succeed but is not so serious that she leaves you shaking at your machine in fear.
Lucky you for getting into her Asilomar class. What a coup that was!
YEAH! I am so looking forward to your book. Now, time to start on that DVD!
Thanks for the tip about Diane’s blog (I’ve added it to my little quilting blog folder).
