Frances you are welcome!

Eventually you will see the whole quilt. Unfortunately, I can't reveal the bulk of it at this time or I will hear about it from the publisher. Yes, this is the pattern in the book! Which is why you only get the bits. The down side of handwork is I have one project at a time, so in order to demonstrate what I am working on, well.....

Since this is the book project, unfortunately I can't share all right now. :-(

The "D" stands for "Miss D". The quilt is inspired by a dear friend and I call it, "Tea with Miss D." This quilt has turned out to be very special to me. My daughter has already called "dibs" on it.

Thank you Beth :-)

Yes, I did draw my pattern (flowers etc.) onto the quilt with the blue washout marker first before quilting. I cannot tell a lie. LOL

I did trapunto the monogram as well as my quilting motif. Letters will not stand out with normal quilting, especially skinny ones, without trapunto to help accentuate them and lift them from the surface work.

The book should be out either spring or summer 2010.

I was trying to acheive that Paris pin stitch of the whitework monogram linens of the past. The smaller grid Diane-shiko really accomplished that. I was really happy with the results.

Will we get to see the completed effort? I'm so eager to see it!! What does the "D" stand for? It's been a privilege to watch this process. Thank you for sharing so much with us.
