Remember when I was talking about not being able to find my ONE perfect thimble? How I put it away in one of those safe places that odds are I would never find it again?
Picture me jumping up and down–literally. When I was plowing through a drawer of silk ribbons yesterday……there it was! Hallelujah and a happy dance thrown in for good measure. Why in the heck did I think putting this in with my silk ribbons was a “safe place” and I would be able to easily locate it again? Scary.
Seriously, this is the only thimble that ever worked for me and was the perfect size. I bought a second one, the same company, same size, but it didn’t fit the same. I have never been able to find a thimble that fit so magically like this one. It fits like a custom made glove. This humble thimble wasn’t expensive, not made of sterling silver and very utilitarian, but it Fits and does the job like a champ.
I think I will keep it in my scissors case from now on so I will see it every day. I want to do some hand quilting again, and I absolutely must have this thimble.
Now if I could only find where I put my colored pencils. I hid them from my kids in a (say it with me) safe place. Now they are safe from me too.
