I Am Back & News

by Sandra | March 8th, 2010

I had so much fun with the Block Party Quilter’s in Seattle/Bellevue.  I often tell anyone who will listen that I consider them my adopted guild because I just have the best time with these ladies.  If only I lived closer!    We are going to book again tentatively for September 2012 for a two-day workshop which is great!

I laughed so hard I cried and I still have an ache in my side from all of the laughter.  Thank you all for such a wonderful time and I can’t wait to go back.  The Margarita research was also very beneficial!

We had the workshops held at Quiltworks Northwest and Oh MY!  Beads and fabrics in one shop?  Heaven.  The largest batik selection I have ever seen in a shop so you just know I was in Nirvana.  I went over my budget, but I don’t care and will gladly deal with the punishment.

The other news is that the new quilt (no not shown yet as I want to keep it anonymous in the judging room) has been accepted to the AQS show in Paducah and I am really happy about that.  For those of you going, you can now see it in the flesh for the first time.

After I settle down and get my bearings again, I will get back to work on Jason’s Pumpkin Quilt and share the progress again as I go.
