The Quilt Show with Ricky and Alex

Most of you know, I HATE CAMERAS–any camera pointed in my direction and I hiss and run.

Cameras provoke that strong of a reaction from me. In order to make sure my quilts don’t end up as dog blankets after my sad demise, I thought it best to swallow my aversion to cameras and accept the invitation from The Quilt Show.

When the invite was extended to appear as a featured artist, well…..I talked to a few friends and they said, “DO IT”. Alrighty then, I had best do it.

I am glad that I did. Alex and Ricky could not have been more hospitable and easy to work with. The crew was fabulous and made it all so comfortable and relaxed that I forgot there were cameras. So much so that I forgot to remove my darn glasses during the interview portion–sigh.

I brought along my daughter Jenna who is beautiful inside and out and since she is a high school film student (editing), they allowed her to integrate with the crew in the control room, behind the camera and even in front of the camera (Her love of Arby’s had everyone laughing). She had fun and it had everything to do with Ricky, Alex, Shelly, Lilo and crew.

I am glad I said yes and was pleasantly surprised at how painless the process and experience was. I will give you some more details as show time comes closer but for now, if you want to subscribe to see my show (when it airs) and others, you can do so with this link: Quilt Show. My show will air July 6, 2015 and is show #1701.
